Hands Free Faucets – Space Age Tech or Annoying Tech

Easy and hygenic!

When you walk into a restroom in an airport or other establishment and see allĀ hands free faucets and toilets and let out a Sigh of relief? I do, that’s because I can navigate the whole washroom situation without having to touch a thing. It really comforts me to be able to use the toilet and wash my hands and know that there will be no cross contamination… except for the door knob which we all dread! The hands free faucets of today have come along way, Instead of no temperature selection now some faucets are able to adjust to whether you need hot or cold. I think that the best innovation in faucet tech may not be the faucet at all, I’m talking the soap dispenser that is hands free! That one invention seems to negate all disgusting touching of the soap dispensers in washrooms.

Now to bring this into the kitchen, when you are cooking and have handled raw meat, why should you cross contaminate the veggies with meat juice when you can have the faucet turn on automatically to wash up. This is a health issue that should not be over looked, there are other uses as well. Let’s say you are holding a baby and only have on arm to work with, these types of faucets would be ideal to get a quick glass of water or fill a pot. Another feature would be the ability to have a young child be able to just wave their hands and be able to wash up easily. I know my three year old would have a huge use for this.

There are many companies that produce so many varieties of faucets like this, and I will review each of them as we build this.
